Calling all urban adventurers! On this tour, you'll explore the businesses, flavors and personalities that shape a neighborhood along the Green Line with an expert resident guide. Frogtown has always been home to St. Paul's immigrant communities, and today it's one of the city's most diverse neighborhoods. You'll enjoy coffee at Demera Ethiopian Restaurant & Bar; learn the story of one of the city's great bread makers, A La Francaise; soak up some early 20th century ambiance at the storied Victoria Theater Arts Initiative; and wander past homes that have housed generations of the city's workers, from 19th century railroad workers to small business owners today. The tour will end at the newly opened Frogtown Farm. Presented in partnership with the Frogtown Neighborhood Association (District 7) and Twin Cities LISC.
Tours begin at 10 am and 2 pm and last 2 hours. Generous support for Neighborhood Secrets Walking Tours is provided by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
The tour departs from Demera Restaurant, 823 University Ave., Saint Paul, and involves some stairs and up to two miles of walking at a moderate pace on uneven terrain.
